I have decided I am the worst end of the school year mom of all time. I simply could not keep up this year. Every week I started to care less about the homework my kids were supposed to do and wonder why they cram so many parties into the final weeks. I missed a few reminders, didn’t sign a few forms, and didn’t make it to everything. That voice in my head has been calling me FAILURE.
I’m so glad that God is never phased or worn out. God never phones it in. God never forgets what time to show up. God never wears out from reminding us to get things done.
I’m also glad that when the voice in my head calling me FAILURE feels loud, God can gently bring me back on course and remind me who I really am. I was really encouraged by something I heard recently from Steve Sunshine.
Yeah, I’ve been called names. We all have. What really matters is what God says about us. Well here’s a sample of some of the things that God has called you. He has called you his workmanship, created in his own image. And then he called you a new creation. And he calls you his child.
