Our second Miracle on PRAISE 106.5 is Julia Olthuis!
Nominated by Kristen. Here is what she wrote:
A few months ago my aunt lost her daughter to a fight with cancer. Her daughter was only 31. 5 years ago she got breast cancer and fought it and went into remission! Then it came back into her bones and other areas and there was nothing that could be done. This will be there first Christmas with out her. Of course the miracle we all prayed for, of healing didn’t come. Instead she got her miracle in heaven, fully restored. But her mom and family are left here broken. I would love to see my aunt have a weekend of pampering. The last couple off months of her daughters life she hardly left her side and didn’t take any time to her self. She unselfishly did all she could for her beloved daughter. Her love was unconditional until the end.
Julia, we hope that this brings you a bit of respite through the grief this Christmas. We’re praying for you.

Lynette:
Christmas PRAISE 106.5. I’m Lynette. Time to make a phone call to grant another little Miracle on 1065.
Julia:
Hello?
Lynette:
Hi, is this Julia?
Julia:
Yes, it is.
Lynette:
Hi, Julia. This is Lynette at PRAISE 106.5. I’m the announcer that does the morning show. How are you?
Julia:
I’m good. And it’s lovely to hear your voice in person. I listen to you in the mornings on my way to work!
Lynette:
Well, you’ve probably heard us talking about our stories about the Miracle on 1065 where we want to bring some Christmas to some folks who’ve had a rough time. And we understand that you have lost some people close to your heart this year.
Julia:
Yes, I have.
Lynette:
But Julia, it’s so hard to lose somebody you love. And especially at Christmas. I understand your daughter was only 31 years old when she got breast cancer and she fought it, and even went into remission, and then it came back. So very sorry to hear about this loss. This is huge. And this is your first Christmas without her. Her miracle of being healed didn’t come. Instead, she got her miracle in heaven. She’s fully restored, but that hurt is still there and that empty spot is still there. And you had some other losses this year too.
Julia:
My aunt and my dad. And it was actually my dad’s birthday today. It would’ve been…
Lynette:
Oh, and your dad’s birthday today. And that really even hits harder, doesn’t it?
Julia:
Well, Yes, thank you, Lynette.
Lynette:
You’re very welcome. This is close to my heart. So much loss at Christmas time and it’s so hard. I know you’re focusing on the birth of our Lord and Savior baby Jesus this year, but sometimes it’s a little tough and we wanted to do something for you that could bring a little light to your Christmas. So, we have some tickets for a Christmassy event for you. And we also have a spa gift certificate for you, Julia, so you can treat and pamper yourself, because we figured you might need that this year. Even some gift cards to go out to eat this year.
Julia:
That sounds fantastic. That’s amazing.
Lynette:
Oh, well, we just wanted to bring some light to your Christmas this year, Julia. I can’t replace the loss that you’ve had, but hopefully it will give you some joy that you’ll know that your friend, actually, it was your niece who nominated you, loves you, and just wanted to see you experience a little miracle at Christmas. Okay?
Julia:
Thank you so much.
Lynette:
And we want to thank our special sponsor this year, Walton Beverage, for working together with us to give people a Christmas that they won’t forget and help us grant some little miracles along the way to touch some hearts. It’s the Miracle on 1065, and we have one more miracle that we’ll share tomorrow, right here on Christmas PRAISE.
