TRANSCRIPTION:
Good morning. Hi there. I’m Lynette and I did not know until yesterday that September is Suicide Prevention Month. And now more than ever with all of the stuff going on after Covid and people being in their rooms and their homes locked away and kids not being at school, and so many things over the last few years, and of course just Covid itself, a lot of fear going on, a lot of anxiety, which has led to a lot of, well, mental illness issues. And you know what? It’s not a bad thing to reach out and let somebody know that you’re struggling. Your doctor, maybe somebody at church, maybe a good friend, but, well, it can be hard. I know. I faced this myself a few times over the last decade, and when you were feeling desperate and hopeless, reach out to someone. And it’s hard. Oh, it is so hard. But I did.
I reached out to my mom on those really tough days, and reached out to those I trusted in my small group. And that’s what’s so important. Keep an eye on your friends. The ones that are struggling. Keep an eye on the kids that are struggling. This is Suicide Prevention Month. And so important because you know what? It’s a real thing and it’s happening more and more as we go through our life. Yeah, it’s hard and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. If you need prayer and you want to reach out that way, you can by going to our website under PRAYER at PRAISE1065.com.
