We are so excited to announce our Love is on the Air! winner, Heather from Bellingham!
Heather and her husband are celebrating 21 years together this year!
Here is Heather gushing about her crush:
“This past month I fell in love with my husband all over again. We foster, and tragically the bio mother of our 2 kids passed away January 2nd. I have watched him weep with them, cuddle them, tell them they are loved and safe and always welcome in our home. As we prepare to add them to our already busy family of 5 I realize how through the hardest things we can see the best in each other. My husband loves me well by always thinking of me. He makes sure I get to sleep in when I’m tired, that I get breaks or walks when I need them, he encourages me to spend time with my friends. He cooks and cleans along with me. He plays card games with our 18 year old, he coaches our 16 year old daughter’s basketball team, he takes our middle schooler and friends out to donuts! He says he’s up to loving another two (7 and 9 year olds) as our own. This has been one of the hardest months of my life, but I have also seen how blessed I am to be married to a man that truly loves Jesus and his family well.”
Congratulations Heather! Wishing you both a very lovely Valentine’s Day weekend – courtesy of our friends Walton Beverage!

This is Heather.

I’m good. How are you?
Lynette:
Good. Good. I have some very important news to share.
Heather:
Okay.
Lynette:
We chose your love story as our grand prize winner for our contest. Love is on the Air.
Heather:
Aw, thank you.
Lynette:
You’re very welcome. And you gushed about your crush, your husband of 21 years, and I wanted to know, Heather, if you would share real quickly just your unique love story that you shared with us, because it’s just precious.
Heather:
Okay. Well, I shared that we had been married for 21 years and that I kind of found a new love for my husband in these past months as I watched him love on our foster kiddos who they’ve just gone through a tragedy, and just watching him love on them and love on our whole family and just kind of carry everybody. I felt like it was really special and I don’t know.
Lynette:
And you had mentioned that he gives you breaks when you need him, helps you with the kids and cooks and cleans, and it’s been one of the hardest months of your life too. And you don’t just have the two foster kids. You have other children as well, right?
Heather:
Yes, we do. We have three others.
Lynette:
Oh, so five children, plus mom and dad. That’s pretty busy, huh?
Heather:
It’s very busy.
Lynette:
I love how you shared the details and we’re going to share that with our listeners too. But just want to to say congratulations to you! You and your hubby deserve a getaway, so we are going to plan that for you, including an overnight stay and dinner out as well at Earl’s in Surrey, and tickets for the TobyMac concert. How about that?
Heather:
That sounds amazing. Thank you so much.
Lynette:
Oh, you bet, Heather. And thank you for sharing your sweet story of love with your hubby. Happy Valentine’s Day.
