Gold Star Teacher 2022: Jessi Bowman

She has asked for prayers for herself and the students, so that they will have a great day of learning.

Jessi is a Teacher on call, who has 1 day a week on call, (Monday) and every Tuesday at Aberdeen School in Abbotsford. I see her work so hard to help the students in this grade 4 class. The amount of time she spends preparing for, and considering, the best for her students. I have seen her spend hours marking and going over where their weak spots are in the subjects she has been given to teach. She has asked for prayers for herself and the students, so that they will have a great day of learning. I feel the teachers on call work really hard and feel they should also be able to see some recognition for their hard work.

Jessi has 2 children, one in kindergarten and a 3 year old. She tries to balance, her career and her job as a Mother and Wife. This is not always an easy task. She is a true believer in our Lord Jesus. She attends Arnold Church in Abbotsford. She and her kids were evacuated during the devastating flood that the Sumas Prairie went thru. Her Husband stayed behind to try and keep the animals alive, bringing them water and making sure they had food. Living up a hill by the house with a neighbor and using a paddle board to get back and forth thru the water. They are still doing repairs on their place due to this flood.
