Mrs. Ferland goes above and beyond to not only create amazing musicians performing to the best of their abilities, but also to encourage students as individuals in their walk with Christ, that they are special, uniquely made and able to shine brightly for Christ. Mrs. Ferland has had more challenges than the average teacher with all the COVID restrictions and not only took them in stride, but quickly adjusted and put in hours of her own time adding thought and creativity to allowing students to continue to perform.

Some examples are her purchasing mask covers for student instruments so they could play, switching to bucket drumming when playing wasn’t allowed, and even holding a 6ft distance recording for all parents to view via video which was amazing, and she held an outdoor concert when last minute restrictions prohibited an indoor concert. Mrs. Ferland rented an entire theatre room at a local movie theater to bless her student’s hard work with a free movie on her! How cool!

And most recently, Mrs. Ferland bravely took close to 50 students to Disney in California for an incredible field trip experience including a music festival competition in which they placed second! And recorded in a professional studio with Disney! I can’t say enough good things about this dear woman who gives way beyond the hours and pay provided to her. She is simply amazing!
