Emergency Operations Centre in Abbotsford
The City of Abbotsford’s Emergency Support Services (ESS) has changed the location of the Reception Centre and they are now located at:
- Option # 1: Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (Tradex) located at 1190 Cornell Street
- Option # 2: Chilliwack Senior Secondary located at 46363 Yale Rd, Chilliwack, BC
If you are unable to return home or have been evacuated from your home you can go to either of the Reception Centres for assistance and shelter.
REMINDER – Two evacuation centers have been setup for Abbotsford residents. 1) Tradex – 1190 Cornell Street (Abbotsford Airport) 2) Chilliwack Secondary School – 46363 Yale Road. If safe to do so, please attend one of the locations and further information will be provided.

If you are need of sand or sandbags the City of Abbotsford Works Yard has some. Bring your own shovel to fill the bags.

Flooded out of your home? Need a place to dry out and a bowl of hot soup? We’re here for you. Soup’s on, the commons is open, WiFi is ready. Drop-in anytime today for soup, rolls, muffins and coffee. Maybe you need a hot shower after a long night of sandbagging- we have that for you, too. NCCTK commons will be open today from 9-5. We’d love to see you and pray with you.

Everson Elementary
Everson & Nooksack Elementary schools are open for overnight shelter. They do not have emergency supplies.
There is a public group on Facebook called Nooksack River Flood Disaster November 2021 getting out information and sharing stories. You can join right here!
