And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28
Once we receive the Good News of the Gospel and choose to put our faith fully in Jesus Christ, the Good News just keeps on coming! Not only is our future secure because we will spend eternity with the Lord, but our life right now is under His loving care.
“God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him” is a verse that can be easily misunderstood. It doesn’t mean our lives will suddenly be easy if we love the Lord. It means that God will use EVERYTHING in our lives to bring us closer to Himself and make us more like Jesus. He will use all the hard things to give us a foundation of empathy from which we can walk alongside others who are going through similar trials, and He will encourage them through us.
This is where the fruit of a Christian life happens—as we minister to someone else with the same love and peace that Jesus gives us, we bring His hope to them. As we experience the presence of Jesus in our own grief and struggles, we can share that with the world.
Please join us in sharing this Good News during our Good News Fall Fundraiser on September 3-6.
