Pastor Kevin is very welcoming. Being an immigrant, I had a hard time looking for a church to attend to. Praise God with a picture shared on FB from one of my sister’s friends who attended their service and introduced me to Cedar Grove Church, and that was back in 2017. The first Sunday I attended the service, I was welcomed by Pastor Kevin with others attending the service that morning. The first thing I have noticed is his very welcoming spirit. I felt so blessed with his preaching as well. He even reached out through email after to follow up which helped me a lot as I have been praying to God to lead me on my spiritual journey here in Canada.
Since then I just found myself keep coming back to this day. When the pandemic started, Pastor Kevin was always there for the congregation. The church started with our No Pause Prayer and today actually marks our 365th day that the church was praying. He’s very concerned about our spiritual growth and would call or email just to check how I am and would encourage me to join prayer or life group. The first thing he would say when you meet him is, “How can I be of help to you” and that is exactly what he’s doing, especially during this pandemic. He’s always reminding the congregation that if there’s anything they need to just reach out may it be financial or spiritual. Having a sincere and compassionate Pastor is very important for everyone’s spiritual health. He indeed is practicing what he preach. There’s a lot more than words can express.
