The world keeps throwing chaos our way and it can be hard not to fall into the trap of fear, hatred or hopelessness. Let’s stand together to reject those things by clinging to the HOPE and PEACE offered through Christ. God talks a lot about fear in the Bible and has given us so many words we can use to fight. When I find myself consumed with thoughts of bitterness, frustration, fear, or anxiety I look to these verses and repeat them in my head. Print out this list. Put it on your mirror. Hang them in the car. Memorize the scriptures that you can call upon when you find yourself feeling that overwhelming, suffocating feeling of fear. Let’s all focus our minds on Him today!
1. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
2. “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
3. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
