PRAISE 106.5 Official Contest Rules

Any individual who enters, attempts to enter or in any way participates or attempts to participate in any including contests, sweepstakes and giveaways (“Contest”) conducted by CRISTA Ministries d/b/a PRAISE 106.5, SPIRIT 105.3, and CRISTA Media (hereinafter also collectively referred to as “CRISTA”) agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions provided in these General Contest Rules as well as by Sponsor’s interpretations of these General Rules which are final and binding in all matters relating to any Contest.  Some Contests will have specific rules developed for them (“Specific Contest Rules”).  In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between these General Rules and the Specific Contest Rules, the Specific Contest Rules shall control.

Unless otherwise noted, no purchase is necessary to enter or win a prize.  All contests are subject to and governed by applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Participation in this Contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. 

By participating, you agree a) to be bound by these Official Contest Rules; b) as between you and CRISTA, that the decisions of CRISTA are final on all matters relating to the Contest; c) you are not participating on behalf of any employer or third party; d) in the event that you do not comply with these Rules, that you will be disqualified and your prize (if any) will be forfeited; and e) (when applicable), the potential winner and/or finalist must be available to participate in any portion to the Contest in which participation may be required to be considered eligible.

Prize winners will be determined according to the method specified by CRISTA at CRISTA’s sole and exclusive discretion.  CRISTA’s decisions as to the administration and operation of Contest, Giveaways, and Sweepstakes and the selection of potential winners is final and binding in all matters related to the Contest, Giveaways, and Sweepstakes.

2. PRAISE 106.5 may require listeners to join THE PRAISE FAMILY on the station website, www.praise1065.com, in order to participate in certain contests. Entry instructions are posted on station website.
3. Station is not responsible for entries not received or delayed due to delay or error of mail service, internet service outage, computer difficulty, or other technical issues.
4. For text entry, carrier message and data rates may apply. Text entries are subject to our privacy policy located at https://www.praise1065.com/privacy. For assistance, text HELP to 866-729-1065. For a free alternate method of entry, please use one of the other valid entry methods.
5. Eligibility Restrictions:
   1. Contests are open to PRAISE 106.5 listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who legally reside in the State of Washington or British Columbia.
   2. Limit to one entry per person.
   3. Only one winner per household is allowed.
   4. Persons who are ineligible to win prizes or participate in contests include: (a) CRISTA employees and their parents, spouses, children, siblings and roommates, (b) employees of advertising agencies that conduct business with CRISTA Media; (c) employees of participating sponsors and promotional partners, and (d) persons employed by radio stations within the Seattle and Vancouver metropolitan areas.
   5. For contests with prizes of material goods: contest participants are eligible to win only one material goods contest every 30 days (1 month). If a listener participates in and wins more than one material goods contest in a 30-day (1 month) period, they agree to forfeit any prize beyond the first contest won.
   6. For contests with cash prizes (i.e. Secret Sound): contest participants are eligible to win only one cash prize contest every 5 (five) years. If a listener participates in and wins more than one cash prize contest in a 5-year (five-year) period, they agree to forfeit any prize beyond the first contest won.
6. The Station, in its sole discretion, shall determine the accuracy of any guess and judge whether the answer provided is sufficient to be designated the winner and claim the prize. This is not open to dispute or appeal from third parties.
7. Once a listener has correctly identified the “PRAISE Secret Sound” effect, that caller is designated the winner of that game. A new “Secret Sound” game, with a new sound effect, will begin within a period of time subject to review and discretion of the Station.
8. Contest participants agree that PRAISE 106.5, CRISTA Media, and contest sponsors have the right to use the name, voice, likeness or any derivative thereof of contest participants and winners for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation.
9. PRAISE 106.5 will not disclose or sell participant personal information to parties that are not affiliated with PRAISE 106.5 and or CRISTA Media.
10. No purchase is necessary. Purchase does not increase odds of winning.
11. If Contest-Specific rules are published, in the case of a discrepancy between those rules and the Official Contest Rules, the terms of the Contest-Specific rules will supersede.
12. Prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning date.
13. Chance of winning depends on the number of correct and eligible contest participants and entries.
14. Prize amounts and value will vary from contest to contest. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or other merchandise. Prizes are not transferable without approval from PRAISE 106.5.
15. Prizes will be mailed to contest winners unless otherwise decided upon by PRAISE 106.5.  Station is not responsible for loss or damage of prize when mailed or emailed.
16. Winners who are residents of the U.S. are responsible for U.S. federal, state and local taxes and fees if applicable. Any U.S. Resident winning over $600 in cumulative prize value or cash prizes from Station within a calendar year will receive an IRS Form 1099, and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
17. PRAISE 106.5 reserves the right to require contest winners to sign a release agreement prior to acceptance and receiving of any prize awarded by station.
18. By participating, each contest participant waives and releases any and all claims of liability against PRAISE 106.5, CRISTA Media, and CRISTA Ministries, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and contest sponsors for any real or threatened damage or personal injury or loss which may occur from participation in the contest or from the use of prizes awarded by PRAISE 106.5.
19. Contestants are required to provide truthful information.  PRAISE 106.5 will reject any entry that the station discovers to be false.
20. PRAISE 106.5 reserves the right to disqualify any participant attempting to tamper with the contest entry process.
21. PRAISE 106.5 reserves the right to substitute contest prizes with other prizes of approximately equivalent value.
22. PRAISE 106.5 reserves the right to cancel or modify contest and contest rules at any time.
23. Regarding entering contests via the PRAISE 106.5 mobile app: Apple is not a sponsor of any PRAISE 106.5 contests or sweepstakes.
