Family Resolutions

Simple ways to make life a little happier every day.  Here are a few tips:

Spend some quality "fun time" together.  Turn off your cell phones and the television and play a game, make some cookies, do a puzzle, go for a bike ride,  read a book or head to the playground. 

*Get active for 30 or more minutes - bundle up and go for a walk after dinner or have a hula-hoop contest in the living room.

*Read at least one book at bedtime.  This is my niece Makenzie's favorite part of going to bed.  She looks forward to "her" time when all is peaceful and quiet.

*Keep a "nice" box.  Every time you catch someone doing something kind, write it down (kids can ask Mom and Dad to do it for them) and put it in the box.  At the end of the week, read them out loud.
